OFS Portal was pleased to host the leaders of electronic commerce from the international business community of ONCE for their Fall Summit to discuss and debate a variety of issues facing e-Commerce practitioners. Twenty companies participated in the event, sending 40 attendees and making this one of the largest Fall Meetings.
Issues discussed included: Supplier Community Enablement (SCE); B2B challenges for Small and Medium sized enterprises (SMEs); Software as a Service (SaaS); and, the Impact of Sarbanes Oxley and SAS 70 regulations. Additionally, the Politecnico di' Milano unveiled their findings on the global B2B landscape as a result of their 2006 Global B2B Study.
“This meeting was very insightful and provocative”, said William Le Sage, CEO of OFS Portal LLC, “as most of the participants were represented by their CEOs or Chairperson. These are the leaders in e-Commerce today.”
ONCE Chairman, Tom Westbrook, President and CEO of W3Net, Ltd., said, “This meeting was particularly beneficial for the participants because people easily shared their perspectives. Having trading partners, respected consultants and legal counsel provide input rounded out these valuable discussions.”
