The 2023 PIDX Spring Conference will explore the latest insights and case studies brought by thought leaders interested in the rapid development and interoperability of tools, concepts and development of the Energy industry eCommerce standards to ensure that data can be rapidly exchanged in an industry format.

PIDX as an open standards organization developer creates technology-agnostic standards to help keep business running efficiently and accurately. Technologies that drive automation can be multifaceted, providing value to the customers, and increasing your business proposition by allowing you to focus on strategic activities rather than tactical tasks.

SUPPLIERS, OPERATORS, AND NETWORK PROVIDERS CAN:
    • Reduce implementation time
    • Reduce the time and effort to onboarding customers
    • Transmit and receive XML and EDI electronic documents
    • Build your network faster and increase the visibility of your business
    • Showcase your products and services on a global scale while adopting the standards that will draw customers to your door on a local level
    • With PIDX standards, you can streamline your relationship with your trading partners and suppliers, resulting in a better ROI on every project engagement
    • Suppliers who proactively adopt the use of PIDX standards will be able to more effectively and efficiently respond to competitive bid requests of operators who request the use of PIDX standards in submitted bid proposals – something that is happening with greater frequency as PIDX standards see increased adoption.

Join us to explore emerging best practices and new approaches for the dynamic future that we all face.

TIME: 9 AM – 10:30 AM CDT
THEME: LOWER CARBON, ESG, AND SUPPLY CHAIN: PART 2

Following our successful Part 1 webinar, the PIDX Emissions Transparency Data Exchange (ETDX) workgroup will showcase show its progress in the Scope 3 Emissions reporting standard and continued collaboration with the WBCSD PACT framework, the World Business Council for Sustainable Development’s Partnership for Carbon Transparency (PACT).

This webinar will demonstrate the interoperability between trading partners when suppliers submit Scope 3 Emissions data to their customers using the PACT-conformant standard in PIDX transactions.

Learn how reporting method has minimal impact for current PIDX users, as it is backwardly compatible with all current versions of the PIDX standards across the industry and can, therefore, be adopted immediately.

Agenda: https://pidx.org/calendar/pidx-2022-spring-conference/

There is a seismic shift in the industry to reduce carbon emissions. The energy industry is faced with not only the challenges of emissions reporting but also the move to cleaner energy sources. As more and more large operators make commitments to reduce GHG emissions, all companies participating in their supply chain will be under increased pressure to produce accurate and granular emissions data. PIDX has recognized the need for an industry-specific standard for capturing and communicating this data across the supply chain.

Conference will focus on:

  • Net Zero: Discover what the energy industry’s goals are for Net-Zero. Hear from our members on their plans and progress towards this goal
  • Emissions Transparency: Reporting greenhouse gas emissions will be key to measuring success towards net zero. Learn where we are today as an industry and the changes required in the near term to accelerate industry-wide adoption of emissions reporting.
  • Supply Chain: PIDX’s ETDX team has developed a proof of concept for Scope 3 category 1 emissions reporting in the supply chain. The team is continuing to work on the agreed industry approach and will present the analysis at the conference.

When oil and gas operators want to count and report their total emissions from a project, they need to include the emissions ’embedded’ in the products they buy. These are part of the ‘scope 3’ (value chain) emissions. The challenge is that the number of possible emission sources is unlimited and not all of the data is available. So you need a common sense approach to trying to include as many of the large sources, and as much available data, and making estimates for the rest, or working on the basis it is too small to count. In this webinar we’ll illustrate this with the challenge of an oil and gas operator working out the emissions. We’ll discuss a method for mapping out the emissions, methods that the emissions can be audited by an external body, and where these systems will be progressing.
