The Electronic Data & Interoperability agreement signed by OFS Portal and Verian Technologies provides the Upstream Oil and Gas Industry with additional options for providing eCommerce services. This agreement protects data ownership, confidentiality and reliability of information exchanged between Verian’s customers and OFS Portal members through the use of Industry standards.
OFS Portal and its members are actively involved in the development of the industry-wide electronic classification and transaction standards through the Petroleum Industry Data Exchange (PIDX). OFS Portal has interoperability agreements in place with all the major networks and marketplaces doing business in upstream oil and gas the basis of which is the use of the PIDX standards. “We welcome Verian’s interest in following the best practices of the industry by the use of the PIDX standards as a cornerstone of the services they provide their customers, for it brings efficiencies to the transactional processes.”, stated William Le Sage, OFS Portal CEO. Verian Technologies has a variety of industry solutions, and is expanding their footprint in the Oil & Gas Industry with this agreement and their involvement in PIDX.
